Netflix has released a behind-the-scenes video of “Carga Máxima”, its first Brazilian action film. Unveiled on Tudum, the preview presents testimonies and shows the practical effects of the production, among many scenes of speed and danger, “with a Brazilian way of doing it”.
In the plot, Thiago Martins (“Amor de Mãe”) lives a Formula Truck driver who starts driving for a gang of cargo robbers to support his team. After being chased by the police and barely escaping alive, he tries to surrender and is also chased by bandits.
The cast also highlights Sheron Menezes (“New World”) as another driver, in addition to Raphael Logam (“Impuros”), Milhem Cortaz (“O Lobo Behind the Door”), Evandro Mesquita (“Depois a Louca Sou Eu “) and Paulo Vilhena (” Monica’s Gang: Ties “).
The screenplay is by Leandro Soares (“Vai que Cola”) and directed by Tomás Portella (“Impuros”).
With no set release date, the film is expected later this year.
