On the occasion of the release of “Twins, but not so much”, we invite you to play with the most famous twins in cinema. Open your eyes and try not to confuse right and wrong answers…
Olivier Ducray and Wilfried Means’ film Twins hits our screens this Wednesday, but not much else. The story of 33-year-old Anthony, who finds out after a DNA test from Justice that he has a twin brother. The surprise is greater when he discovers that his brother Gregor is white and he is black. As the movie tagline says, there was a one in a million chance of that happening.
In an attempt to get closer to his brother, a star candidate in the legislative elections, Anthony hires him as a driver without immediately revealing this unlikely family connection. In the casting, we find Ahmed Sila and Bertrand Usklat in two main roles.
Ahmed Sila discovered theater in college at the age of fourteen. After cutting his teeth on several open stages in the capital, he was exposed to the wider public thanks to his participation in Laurent Rouquier’s show On ne demande qu’en rire, which allowed him to organize his first one-man show. Since then we have been able to see him appear in several feature films such as L’Ascension, Le Dindon or Tout simples noir.
Bertrand Usclat, he first pursued a political career before changing paths completely and enrolling at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts. It is on YouTube that he will manage to introduce himself within the Yes you love collective, which quickly unites the Bagel studio. It’s the short-form Broute, a parody mini-series he writes and directs, that will really introduce him to the general public.
We’ve already caught Bertrand Usclat in two other films this year: Loin du Périph’ and Liar. The release of Jumeaux, but not many, has prompted us to present you with a quiz where you will have to identify nine movie twins. Let’s go !
