Actress Elizabeth Olsen, who plays Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch in the MCU, was surprised during an interview with the information that Hugh Jackman, the X-Men Wolverine, will be appearing in “Deadpool 3”. She the actress then hinted that she would like to collaborate with the X-Men in the future of Marvel.
During an event of Variety, Olsen was surprised by the news of Hugh Jackman’s return as Wolverine in “Deadpool 3”, the announcement of which was made by Ryan Reynolds this Tuesday (27). With the return of Jackman and the possible entry of the X-Men into the MCU, the actress wants to join the group of mutants.
Olsen’s desire also makes a lot of sense in relation to comics, after all Scarlet Witch is a mutant and is the daughter of Magneto, played by Ian McKellen and Michael Fassbender on the big screen.
“Oh really?” Olsen said, expressing shock at the news of Hugh Jackman’s return and his entry into the MCU. “Oh!”.
When asked in the sequel which characters she hopes to interact with as Scarlet Witch in the future of the MCU, Olsen said, “I don’t know … I think once we put it in … I think … Wolverine is X-Men, right? It would be great to work with a lot of these people from the X-Men franchise, “continued Olsen. “Do I think Fassbender is my father in some world?”
Elizabeth Olsen’s last appearance as Scarlet was in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”. There, her character took a turn that turned her into the villain of the story. At the end of the film, her fate was left open and it is unknown if this could be the end of the line, after her character sacrificed himself to destroy Darkhold, in a moment of redemption.
However, Kevin Feige himself, president of Marvel Studios, practically confirmed the character’s return in an interview with Variety. “There really is a lot more to explore. We haven’t touched many of their major comic book stories yet, “Feige said.” I’d work with Lizzie for another 100 years if we could. Anything is possible in the multiverse!
