‘The best is yet to come’ for House of Dragons: George RR Martin thanks fans, teases sequel

The first Game of Thrones spin-off, the prequel to House of Dragons, is a huge hit with fans. Immersion in the succession wars of the Targaryen dynasty captivates the crowd, delights the show’s participants, as well as George AR Martin, author of the literary saga.

The latter had already expressed his admiration for the Dragon House teams before the series aired. But since the beginning of the broadcast, he did not take time to address the audience. So he used it His personal blog I would like to thank the fans, but also the entire distribution of the series:

“The series started off strong and has only gone from strength to strength. Thanks to everyone who watches and contributes to its popularity. Also thanks to our amazing cast and crew. We’re over half way through the season. (I really wanted to blog after the debut, but it’s been too long).

Millie Alcock and Emily Carrey were amazing as young Rhaenyra and young Alicent, weren’t they? In Sunday’s episode, Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke took on the adult versions of the characters. I think you will like them too. Or maybe hate them. A love-hate relationship.

Westeros, like the real world, is full of complex characters capable of both good and evil. Meanwhile, Matt Smith and Paddy Considine and Rhys Ifans and Fabien Frankel and Steve Toussaint and our cast continue to thrive. It’s hard for me to say which one I like the most.

And I must also say a few words to our authors, who are never in the spotlight. Sarah Hess, Charmaine de Grate, Ira Parker, Tee Mikel, and the rest of our writers captured my story well, I think.

And finally, our showrunners, Ryan Condall and Miguel Sapochnik… House of the Dragon wouldn’t exist without them. (Oh, and let me take my hat off to Jocelyn Diaz, another one of our producers, who was amazingly helpful).

After this warm thanks, George RR. Martin is a little hesitant about the sequel, which he thinks will only get better, but also a second season! Dragon House has already been renewed for a second round of episodes, with pre-production already underway.

“I hope you enjoy Dragon House as much as I do. And hey, four more episodes…the best is yet to come. And then season two!”

When can we expect to see this season 2? Not soon… The scale of the series is such that the first season took almost ten months to shoot and about a year for visual effects. HollywoodReporter. The first season is still in progress! If a similar workload is required for the second season, these new episodes may not be released until 2024.

Especially in a Spanish newspaper yes We learn that the new season of Dragon House will begin filming in the spring of 2023, as the teams are expected to return from March to June in the city of CĂ¡ceres, Spain, which is representative of King’s Landing.
