WARNING, THE FOLLOWING PARAGRAPHS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE SERIES IT ALL BEGINS Monday night on TF1! If you don’t want to understand anything, don’t read!
On Monday, October 3, it all starts here…
Early in the morning, Anais fixes the last details before opening her restaurant. David then asks if he has seen Salome these last days, which he has not. The young woman confides in him that she needs to know what really happened the day her brother died, but the young man reiterates that it was an accident. He also thinks he needs to quickly turn the page once and for all. They are then interrupted by Salome, who discovers that Anais has kept Mathieu’s dessert on the menu against Chef Tays’s advice. Anais is sure: before the opening, her dessert will be perfect.
Salome then criticizes David for dating Anais despite his involvement in her brother’s death. However, he claims it was an accident, but he knows he challenged Mathieu to swim as hard as he could when swimming was forbidden. A young man thinks that the only thing he can do now is take care of his ex-girlfriend as best he can. However, Salome believes that her arrival had a bad effect on Anais, because they quarreled and she has many problems with her master. He then threatens to tell his friend everything if he doesn’t get away quickly, but David is well aware that Anais will never recover if she finds out the truth.
Meanwhile, Anais realizes that the pop-up restaurant is the master’s showcase to the outside world, and promises Rose that she won’t let him down.
Lisandro then confides in Rose that he has hardly spoken to his ex-girlfriend since their breakup. The Head Master is sure that they could work something out by talking to each other, but the Homeroom teacher thinks that this is not possible at the moment because, according to him, Anais is under David’s influence. Like Salome, he is sure that the latter is manipulating him and hiding something.
At the ephemeral restaurant, Anais decided to keep her brother’s dessert à la carte, much to the chagrin of Charlene and Enzo. Chef Teissier’s daughter points out to him that if his creations are not up to par, the entire team will be criticized. The young chef is not impressed and tells them that if they don’t like his choice, they are free to leave. Anais then prepares to ask David for help, but Salome pulls her away. At the same time, he assures that he will always be by his side and admits that he should not have told Lisandro the truth. After several days of arguing, the two best friends reconciled.
A little later, Rose and Chef Meyer believe that Anais cannot offer a dessert that is never finished to her customers. The young chef tries to change their minds, but in vain. Then the chief supervisor asks him to follow the menu, which is verified.
Lisandro asks his ex-girlfriend if she is in a relationship with David. But the young woman believes she no longer has to give an account.
Anais explains to Salome that she is going to live with David for a while because her Airbnb has become too expensive. Her best friend then insists that she move to the salt marshes with him, which intrigues the young woman. She promises that nothing will happen to David, but that is not enough. Salome then proceeds to confess the truth to him in order to protect him from his ex-boyfriend: he is responsible for his brother’s death.
Anais comes crying into David’s room and asks if he is really responsible for Mathieu’s death. He quickly realizes in front of her silence that Salome has told him the truth. The young man gave his best friend a hat or no hat, then the three of them went for a swim without being aware of the current. Anais and her brother were then taken away, and while David managed to get the young woman back to shore, Mathieu disappeared when he returned to the water to look for her. David confirms that not a day goes by that he doesn’t think about Matthew. But Anais is not going to forgive him and asks him not to approach her again.
A notary found a safe in the bank containing a French Worker’s Medal by Auguste Armand with a letter addressed to Louis. Clotilda, on the other hand, is afraid of what happened when her brother received the suitcase while in Tokyo. The boss thinks it could also be a new will that will throw everything into question and then suggests opening it first, which Rose flatly refuses.
Hortense, on the other hand, has a strange feeling this morning that something important is about to happen…and she’s not wrong, as Louis, Rose and Clotilda have reservations at Double A.
During the meal, Clotilda and Rose give their brother a medal and a famous letter written by their father. However, after reading it, Louis is convinced that it was not written by Auguste because, he says, it is too stupid for someone like him. Rose then reads the letter aloud, which turns out to be very touching as she declares her love for her hidden son. He also tells her that he has no doubt that one day he will be great among the great. In this letter, the elder also shares his desire for all of them to form a true brotherhood together.
Clotilda then confirms that this type of statement was not their father’s style, but the handwriting is indeed his. Rose then confirms to her brother that their father is right: they are starting a family. Chef Armand continues to assure them that if he needs them, they will be there. In the end, Hortense was right, a miracle happened.
Early in the morning, Ethan unexpectedly comes to Samia’s room to bring coffee. However, the student doesn’t want the other students to judge their relationship by telling them that of course they slept together, but it’s not going to work out between them. In turn, the young man claims that it does not bother him, because he is not in love with her, but still asks him to find time for them in addition to classes.
A little later, Claire makes a surprising suggestion to Ethan and Samia: work in pairs on a revised recipe for Blanquet de Veuve, which they will then present to their classmates. If the idea of working together is difficult, not against each other, they will eventually accept his proposal.
During processing, Ethan and Samia slip… then they are surprised half-naked by Chef Guinot, who sharply corrects them.
