After a ten-year leap, House of the Dragon begins a new dynamic where a family feud rages. Episode 7 marks a turning point in the Cold War between Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) and Alyssent Hightower (Olivia Cooke).
Serious matters begin and the Targaryen dynasty is split into two clans after a great feud between the children of Alicent, the children of Daemon and the children of Rhaenyra. If the calm temporarily returns, the storm is very close.
With many twists – Emond losing his eye but reviving the dragon, Alicent plotting with Father Otto, who has become the Hand of the King again, and Lenore pretending to be dead – this seventh episode sets off for an explosive finale.
And among all these developments is an element that has delighted fans: the long-awaited reunion between Renira and Daemon (Matt Smith). Although they are uncle and niece, most of the House of the Dragon audience adores this incestuous and troubled couple.
Just as many fans loved Daenerys and Jon Snow’s incestuous relationship. This tolerance for incestuous relationships seems to be stronger for the Targaryen family than for the Lannister family, and between Jaime and his twin sister Cersei.
Fans did not fail to share the joy of Daemon and Renira’s meeting, sexual relationship and especially marriage (!). The two terrible lovers have finally found each other and will team up against Alicent and his allies in the following episodes of the inaugural season of Dragon House.
