A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Tuesday, October 4, 2022 [SPOILERS]

After Roland’s death, the Mistral bar closes its doors. Thomas and Gabriel return from the hospital to find the twins completely devastated. Gabrielle tries to get her point across, pointing out that Roland went on vacation, surrounded by loved ones.

Sunali offers her condolences to Luna, who considered Roland her father. At the same time, he receives a bouquet of flowers delivered to Mirta. So Luna will give it to her mother. On the card, the latter discovers that it is a gift from Roland, who thanks him for never breaking their bond.

Meanwhile, Francois confides in Blanche about his regrets. He wanted to apologize to his father for his past mistakes. Blanche comforts him by reminding him that they had a chance to share a father-son road trip in the US for three months.

For his part, Baptiste does not know how to explain to Mathis that his grandfather will not return. Gabriel comforts her. From the window of Baptiste’s apartment, they watch the Mistrals regroup and gather at the Place du Mistral in Roland’s honor.

Kevin tries to help his mother find a middle ground in grading papers: either she’s not encouraging enough, or she’s starting to give big speeches.

In the staff room, Laetitia asks Nathan for advice as she wants to engage the students in history through a film projection. This is a good idea for Nathan as long as he always shows authority. At the same time, Rochat enters the teachers’ room to announce to Laetitia that he is going to inspect her because the parents of the students complain about her political remarks.

In class, Laetitia is so stressed that she loses control. He makes the mistake of passing out copies, confuses Josephine Baker and Josephine de Beauharnais, and ends class 25 minutes early.

Panicking, Laetitia asks Rochat to cancel the inspection. The latter declares that it is impossible, but firmly believes in the success of his abilities. He promises to help.

At the police station, Kevin surprises Alexandra by hiding a gift for her under a pile of files. Opening the gift, Alexandra discovers a necklace that she really likes. She suggests Kevin come to her house later in the day.

After getting home, the two lovers get physically close to each other. If Kevin insists on giving Alexandra pleasure, he prefers to wait a little longer and suggests the opposite. After which Kevin reassures her that he’s willing to wait until she’s ready.

As he kisses her passionately, Alexandra is about to reveal a secret to him. But Kevin finds out before that, sliding his hand between her thighs. He realizes that Alexandra is in the middle of a transition. He prefers to go home under the influence of surprise…
