For 3 weeks now, TF1 has aired two new episodes of Les Combattantes, its new event series, every Monday night. Directed by Audrey Fleuro, Camille Lou, Julie de Bona and Sofia Essaide, this historic mural follows the fate of four women who, despite themselves, find themselves caught up in the heart of the First World War.
If Les Combattantes is far from qualifying as a comic series, behind the scenes, certain scenes sometimes made the four actors laugh a lot. That’s what happened during the filming of a scene in episode 5, broadcast last night on TF1, in which Caroline (Sofia Essaide) hits Margarita (Audrey Fleuro) after the latter angrily abuses her ex-boyfriend.
If this fight on screen is unusual, the two actors are not ready to forget about filming this scene.
“That slap is memorable because it’s one of my biggest laughs on setThis is how Sofia Essaidi trusted the microphone of Allociné. “Turns out we miscalculated a bit at some point and I gave him a real big slap, flat handed. And it made an absolutely terrible noise. We laughed a lot at that time.”
But the laughter grew louder when the team saw pictures of the scene. “Director Alexandre Laurent showed us the scene, and he did a freeze frame of Audrey’s head, who got the slime and didn’t expect to get it like that. So cruelly. I think the laughter lasted for a week (laughs). And after a year, I’m still laughing.”
If Sofia especially remembers this memorable laugh, Audrey Fleurot above all remembers the pain she experienced after this strike: “I remember it in the sense that it really broke my eardrum, so to speak (laughs).“But for the actor, this suffering was necessary to make the scene more true. “It is very difficult to give a fake skin that looks realAudrey Flerot explained.
“So I wanted to really set it up, because in terms of the reaction, the surprise, nothing beats the real thing. But Sofia was afraid of hurting me, and it is in such a situation that we give her pain. And he really gave me an earful. But, you see, I forgot until today, so I have no grudges at all.“.
Find the last two episodes of Les Combattantes this Monday, October 10 on TF1. For latecomers, episodes are available for replay on MyTF1 and the Salto platform.
