Bleach: Good and bad news for the animated series’ return

It’s the end of a long series that has been enlivening social networks for several weeks: yes, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, the long-awaited sequel to the cult animated series, will indeed be broadcast on Disney +. The information was confirmed by Viz Media, the owner of the international rights of the franchise.

The rumor has indeed been circulating since early August, without any statement confirming – or denying – the information. A few weeks ago, episodes of the previous animated series Bleach left the catalog of streaming platforms, suggesting the acquisition of the rights to the series by one broadcaster.

Unfortunately, the issue of the release date remains. Although Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War airs in Japan starting this Monday, October 10, there is currently no trace of the series in this month’s programming schedule on Disney+. If there is no unexpected announcement, the French public will have to arm themselves with extra patience to finally discover the continuation of the animated series that they have been waiting for for ten years!

Adapted from Tite Kubo’s manga (available in 74 volumes from Glennati Publications), Bleach follows the adventures of Ichigo Kurosaki, a teenager who inherits the power of a shinigami that allows him to fight evil spirits. Then an adventure begins, during which the latter will meet many friends, but also various allies and comrades.
