The super-wizards of the Elusive saga will return for part 3. 6 years after the release of the second opus, the sequel has finally begun!

Get ready for crazy new magic tricks! After two films released in 2013 and 2016, the Elusive saga is finally entitled to a 3rd episode!

Louis Leterrier and John M. After Chu, the reins of the franchise are in the hands of Ruben Fleischer, the director of Zombieland, Venom or Uncharted.

Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman, stars of the first two opus, are set to return. Lionsgate Studios wants to assemble the entire cast for this third film, which will be written by Eric Warren Singer, the screenwriter of Top Gun Maverick.

“Eric has always been fascinated by the art of evocation and illusion in all its forms. He’s brought us a great story that takes the mythology of Elusive and takes The Four Horsemen to a whole new level with our core regular cast and new characters.”Lionsgate president Nathan Kahan confided Mic from THR in 2020.

For his part, filmmaker Ruben Fleischer expressed his enthusiasm in a press release. Deadline : “There are three things I love in this world: Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and magic. The chance to work with these two talented actors, as well as the rest of the incredible cast of the Elusive films, is a dream come true. It’s true.”he explained.

“I’ve always been a fan of heist movies, I love twists and turns and mysteries. This is even more true when the thieves are wizards. The possibilities are endless.”he concluded.

The franchise’s two feature films have grossed $687 million worldwide. The release date for episode 3 is unknown.
