“Causeway,” coming Nov. 4 on Apple TV +, stars Jennifer Lawrence as a veteran soldier trying to reintegrate into civilian life. Watch the trailer.
After a brief hiatus, Jennifer Lawrence has signed on to return to cinema in 2021 with Adam McKay’s choral film Look No High. With Causeway, he returns to a more dramatic and intimate genre that may, if the first comeback is to be believed, launch him into the next Oscar race.
Under the cover of the lens, the American actor plays a soldier in the army who is wounded by an explosive device during a mission in Afghanistan.
Suffering, he returns home to the United States. He then begins a long and painful recovery, during which he must learn to walk and his memory work.
Causeway deals with the complex issue of soldiers’ trauma and their reconstruction, far from war zones. In this drama, Jennifer Lawrence, winner of the 2013 Oscar for The Happiness Therapy, responds to Brian Tyree Henry and Linda Emond.
Causeway lands on Apple TV+ on November 4.
