For his first collaboration with the Netflix platform, Tim Burton immersed himself in the world of Wednesday, the famous daughter of the Addams family. In this 8-episode series, a sick teenager joins Nevermore Academy, a prestigious school for students with different and extraordinary abilities.
As he arrives, a string of murders disturbs the peace of the neighboring town. For Wednesday, it’s an opportunity to investigate and uncover dark secrets.
Check out the new trailer:
Halfway between horror and comedy, the series reinvents the character of Charles Addams as a tough heroine. The new trailer, released this Sunday, October 9, reveals a few surprises, the first of which is the actor playing Uncle Fetid.
Fred Armisen plays the role. The actor, very famous in the United States, is especially known for being one of the leading comedians of the show Saturday Night Live.
Another surprise of this trailer is, of course, Christina Ricci. The actress, who played Wednesday Adams in two of Barry Sonnenfeld’s films, has already been announced for the series. Now her character is revealed: she is Marilyn Thornhill, a teacher and head of dormitories at Nevermore Academy.
For the record, it’s Jenna Ortega ( Scream ) who fills her in as Adams on Wednesday. Catherine Zeta-Jones and Luis Guzman star as parents Morticia and Gomez Addams. Gwendoline Christie (Star Wars, Game of Thrones) also stars as the school principal.
Wednesday, November 23rd on Netflix.
