After Kelly criticizes the exercises offered in class, Louie decides to make things worse. He asks his students to prepare a dish normally reserved for third graders. Kelly’s friends are crazy about her because they only have a few hours to pass this exam.
Kelly walks out during class and Louis catches up with her. He reminds her to hurry up, but is still rude to her. Charlene’s fiancé admits that he made a mistake with her, telling her that they had the same story as their fathers.
Louis tells him that Claire told Thomas, Kelly’s father, about the course. This caused him to pass the entrance exam of the institute and was forced to take over the family bakery. Louis suggests that Thomas misbehaved with his daughter the other day because he is jealous of her success. Louis advises Kelly to turn this bad meeting into a strength to surpass himself and become better than him.
Kelly re-mobilizes and manages to present the teacher with a very successful dish that takes her to the finish line. Moreover, he only tastes his preparation and congratulates him. Louis meets Salome in the hallway. He asked and knows that the story he told Kelly about Thomas is false. Salome realizes that she lied to get Kelly back on track and thanks her for it. Embarrassed, he dismisses his ex in disgust.
Olivia confides in Claire that she thinks it’s Joachim she loves. Louis’ mother is suspicious, especially since he is with Clotilda. However, Olivia thinks it’s entirely possible that he likes…
Later, Olivia decides to ask the question directly to Joachim… who assures her that the love letter wasn’t from him. The fixer wonders if the note was really meant for Olivia…he thinks it might have been for another student’s student.
A vegan chef tells the first years about this message and leaves it at that. At the end of the lesson, Samia asks Ethan if he wrote those lines and he admits that he did. He thought she would love it, but Samia is adamant and tells him that she just needs to focus on her studies. He is upset and leaves. Samia takes the note, reads it and smiles…
Olivia tells Claire everything that happened. The two women are amused by the situation, and the latter implies that she really didn’t like knowing that Olivia potentially had a secret admirer.
