Ulysses 31 Nostalgia Quiz: How well do you remember the animated series?

A few decades ago, you sometimes had to wait to discover a new series. Because if today, for example, each new season of Stranger Things is offered in its entirety to Netflix subscribers on a given date, allowing them to watch a dozen episodes at once, it would be far from the case of the cartoon. Indeed, it took young 80s kids an entire week to discover an entire episode of The Adventures of Ulysses and His Companions, with the show split into five-minute segments every night between 7:55pm and 8pm. A true lesson in patience for an entire generation!

The Franco-Japanese cartoon has been broadcast on French television since 1981. It was inspired by the famous Greek hero Ulysses, told by the poet Homer in his work “Odyssey”, but moved to the future of the 31st century.

When he returns to Earth with his ship, crew and his son Telemachus, Odysseus incurs the wrath of the gods. Zeus then condemns him to wander on Olympus, while all his companions sink into perpetual slumber.

It’s a whole series of trials and adventures that our heroes will have to go through, avoiding the many traps set by Zeus and the gods to try to get back to planet Earth.
