Dwayne Johnson: “Black Adam is the most important film of my career”

Black Adam, the superhero movie starring Dwayne Johnson, hits theaters on October 19. AlloCiné caught up with the 50-year-old actor to discuss this role, “the most important of his entire career.”

After carrying this project for more than 10 years, Dwayne Johnson was finally able to realize his dream: to become the Black Adam in the cinema.

For this occasion, AlloCiné met with a famous actor who confided in the way of understanding this role. The most important in his careerAccording to him, you can see the interview in the video above.

To remind you, the story takes us to the ancient Kahndak, where the slave Tet Adam received superpowers from the gods. But he used it for revenge and ended up in prison. Five millennia later, when he was freed, he brought his very dark vision of justice to the world.

Refusing to give up, Tate Adam must face a group of modern-day heroes who make up the Justice Society – Hawkman, Dr. Face, Atom Smasher and Cyclone – who intend to send him to prison for life.

Will the feature film be standalone or will it tie into Shazam 2, which is expected on March 29, 2023? And will Dwayne Johnson fully embrace the darkness of Black Adam, even if it means turning his family’s star image upside down? The answer is inevitable, the film will hit theaters on October 19.
