Quite soon on Netflix will premiere the fifth season of the acclaimed and already beloved series “The Crown” (The Crown). The project, the plot of which is based on real events from the life of the British royal family, regularly causes a lot of controversy, and the royal family itself has repeatedly reminded that this is a feature series, not a documentary series. Nevertheless, many see it as an almost real reflection of the life of British monarchs.
The night before, the press service of the streaming service presented the official posters and character images of the characters, fueling the interest of the viewers. The first two do not depict a love triangle, but rather a kindred triangle of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Charles and Princess Diana against a cracked wall. They also appeared on the rest of the posters, as well as Prince Philip and Princess Margaret. The new season will take place in the 1990s. The plot will tell about Diana’s divorce from Prince Charles and the death of the princess – it recently became known that the showrunners decided not to show the death scene itself. The queen declared that period terrible, because then her three children divorced their spouses, and there was a fire in Windsor Castle.
Recall that after the death of Queen Elizabeth II in early September, the shooting of the series was suspended, and the audience of previously released seasons increased by 800%.
