‘Daredevil: Born Again’: Release date, synopsis, trailer, cast…

It has been waiting, but it is here. Disney’s last D23 2022 announced several Marvel novelties, such as ‘The Thunderbolts’ and ‘Loki 2’, but the focus was especially on one of them: ‘Daredevil: Born Again’, the most anticipated future Disney+ series of Marvel’s Phase 5. What do we have so far on Matt Murdock’s new stunts?

‘Daredevil: Born Again’, context

The most important thing is to know the reason for the title. We could say, for courtesy, that ‘Daredevil’ was created in 1964 by Stan Lee, Bill Everett and Jack Kirby. And, well, let’s leave it in that it is not the best stage of the character, something that the writer and cartoonist can boast about Frank Millerwhich in 1979 would become part of the header and would give us the best stories starring the cuernitos.

One of them was, of course, ‘Born Again’, a title therefore not at all casual the one chosen by Feige and company. Talking about this title is not just about one of the best ‘Daredevil’ comics, it’s about an outstanding work that is among the best of the publisher (By the way, often the 80s, between Miller and his ‘Daredevil’, Chris Claremont leading ‘The X-Men’ and Walter Simonson raising ‘The mighty Thor’ to the altars of Asgard).

‘Born Again’ would mark Miller’s return to Marvel after landing at DC Comics, counting on the excellent cartoonist David Mazzucchelli (‘Batman: Year One’), and together they would carry out in 1986 the plot arc of the collection that would include numbers 227-233.

In order not to make too many spoilers about a work that everyone should read, we will only ask you the following question: What would happen if the ever-feared Kingpin discovered Daredevil’s secret identity?

‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Cast and Characters

After the cancellation of the series “Daredevil” by Netflix, as we all know from the appearance of Disney +, we spent three years without knowing anything about the character, but the UCM is larger than life and had plans for him.

‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ marked the daredevil return in a brief and funny appearance and, since then, Charlie Cox took it upon himself to state that he will appear again in Marvel, and he has delivered. Since then, we have seen him in ‘She-Hulk: Lawyer She-Hulk’, something that was already hinted at in 1×05 of the Jennifer Walters series and that, at last, we could witness in ‘She-Hulk’ 1×08, with She-Hulk and her great love story with Daredevil. Now we know that we will also have Murdock and Kingpin (Vincent D’Onofrio) in ‘Echo’, the future series starring Alaqua Cox.

And what about ‘Daredevil: Born Again’? Well, we know that, for now, we will have four old acquaintances:

charlie cox will come back like Matt Murdock/Daredevillike Vincent D’Onofrio will do your own like Wilson Fisk/Kingpin. Along with them, the return of Deborah Ann Woll What Karen’t PageMatt Murdock’s romantic interest, and elden henson What Foggy Nelson, the faithful friend of Matt. Over the months, we will get to know who else joins the cast. Our bet? We believe that the greenish Tatiana Maslany will also be dropped by the series.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Director

It is still unknown who or who will be chosen to direct the return of Daredevil, but we do know that the scriptwriters will take care of the script. Matt Corman and Chris Ord both creators and directors of ‘Covert Affairs’. Will they also repeat as directors? We’ll see.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Release Date

There is no specific date, filming has not even started, but we do know three things: that will premiere in 2024 on Disney+which will be one of the strengths of the MCU Phase 5 and that will consist of 18 episodes.

‘Daredevil: Born Again’, Synopsis

There is no official synopsis yet, but the possibilities of its title seem to indicate that we will be before a possible “reboot” of the character, forgetting what was seen in the previous three seasons of Netflix. And, continuing with the title, as adapt minimally the work of Miller and Mazzucchelli let’s see Murdock have a hard timevery bad.
