The Downey family mourns and with great pain William and Benedict go to the morgue to identify their father’s body. Bridget, on the other hand, does not accompany them, because it is beyond her strength.
In the meantime, the police received the expert’s report. According to the medical examiner, Regis would have died between 4pm and 6pm last Friday from a particularly violent blow which caused a massive cerebral haemorrhage. Unfortunately, the police have no evidence because Regis’ killer cleaned the dead man’s face before burying him. Faced with these elements, Lisa gets the impression that this is a fight gone wrong.
Meanwhile, Karim found the taxi driver who had dropped off at the station from Brigitte last Friday. The latter testified to police that he picked up the Downey family matriarch at 3:08 a.m. and helped her board the 3:55 p.m. train, shortly before Reggie’s alleged time of death. Therefore, Bridget must be cleansed. But Captain Said made another discovery. Indeed, the deceased’s credit card was used at the supermarket at 19:22. Lisa then wonders if Regis was attacked over the credit card.
At the morgue, William and Benedict struggle to hide their grief over their father’s remains. Seeing his sister in immeasurable pain, William takes her in his arms to comfort her. With tears in her eyes, she remembers the last time she had her father on the phone and regrets that she exchanged simple banalities with him. Just then, a morgue employee joins them to hand over Regis’ personal belongings. Afterwards, William receives a text from his wife, alerting him that Bridget has been released. Immediately, William and Benedict clearly regret having imagined the worst.
In turn, Manon calls her sister to tell her about their grandfather’s death. Unfortunately, Sofia will not be able to attend the funeral due to a broken leg. After a while, Dorian stands up for his cousin, saying that he is very happy that he is teaming up with him to reconcile his grandparents.
Not far from there, Lisa managed to get a copy of the receipt from the person who used the Régis credit card. Unsurprisingly, the policeman discovers that the killer has acquired the necessary equipment to bury the body. Fortunately, Lisa was also able to capture dashcam video from the parking lot and now hopes to track down the killer.
At the same time, William apologizes to his mother for doubting him. After she agrees to forgive him, Bridget tells her that Reggie sent her a letter the day he died. In it, he looked back on their happy days and explained that he was not closed to the idea of returning to Paris.
Sylvain convinces his wife that he is going with Alex, but Charlie knows that he is actually going to his gaming club.
At the police station, the science police identified the paint of the car that crashed into the director’s car. It will be a screen printed advertising vehicle owned by Sylvain Moreno…
