A Better Life Preview: Episode Summary for Wednesday, October 19, 2022 [SPOILERS]

After a bad night, Jean-Paul wakes up. He calls Leah and leaves a message on her answering machine, hoping to share the big news with her. Actually, Jean-Paul is not in very good shape. Dropping Aurora off at daycare, she meets Patrick and confides in him her concerns about Leah, who she hasn’t heard from in days. Patrick informs him that he had a minor relapse. He suspects that his colleague is particularly stressed at the prospect of the ceremony.

At the police station, despite the good atmosphere that reigns, Jean-Paul is still not well. Samya has the impression of seeing, but her hallucination fades.

At City Hall, Jean-Paul becomes paranoid. He has a bad feeling and fears that something is wrong. During Revel’s speech, Jean-Paul learns that he has been promoted to the rank of Commander in the Mistral Police Department with the functions of Commissioner. At the police station, Kevin invites his mother to Alexandra, who accepts. During lunch at Marci’s, a young girl confides in Sylvia. He asks Emily to train him before he meets Leticia.

Betty takes Noah home, where she has made a vacation spot. A romantic afternoon awaits Noah. But Betty invited her cousin Jules and some friends to the party. A disappointed Noah leaves the place. Betty approaches him. Noah criticizes her for being selfish and not knowing her well enough to know what would motivate her.

Later, Betty finds Noah in the park and tries to catch up. He gives her her favorite candy, puts her phone on airplane mode, and promises to listen. Noah begins to tell her about his feelings, especially how he doesn’t feel justified in being a part of Roland’s family. Betty replies that Heart’s family is just as important, then she begins to vomit.
