The Netflix documentary “Racionais: Das Ruas de São Paulo pro Mundo”, about the most influential musical group in the rap music scene, Racionais MC’s, has its premiere date.
The announcement was made through the social networks, on the official profiles of Netflix Brasil on the morning of this Wednesday (19), where the streaming shows that the rappers “have made history for 30 years”. There, Netflix revealed that the documentary arrives in its catalog on November 16.
and intends to deepen the origin and rise of the Racionais MC’s group, formed by the quartet of Mano Brown, KL Jay, Ice Blue and Edi Rock.
The documentary will present unpublished scenes, recorded in the over 30 years of the group’s career. In addition, the production promises exclusive interviews to the members of the group, as evidenced by the images published above on the Brazilian Netflix social networks.
The film is also expected to reinforce the legacy of the musicians and the group’s impact on Sao Paulo and Brazilian society, from their first performances until today.
Weeks before the release of the Netflix documentary, the film will be presented in a single exhibition at the 46th Sao Paulo International Film Festival, an event that will take place at Cinemateca Brasileira on October 31.
The film “Racionais: Das Ruas de São Paulo pro Mundo” is directed by Juliana Vicente and was produced for Netflix by Preta Portê Filmes. Juliana Vicente also signs as executive producer, along with Beatriz Carvalho and Gustavo Maximiliano.
Direction of photography is by Flávio Rebouças, Rodrigo Machado and Carlos Firmino; editing, by Washington Deoli and Yuri Amaral. The artistic direction of the production is signed by Isabel Xavier; direction of production by Camila Abade and Mari Santos.
