With all the success of “House of the Dragon,” the HBO series has spawned many social memes and a curious comparison to DreamWorks Pictures’ animated franchise, “Shrek.”
The success attracts memes and the most attentive “House of the Dragon” fans who grew up watching the films of the animated “Shrek” franchise have found many elements in common between some scenes of the productions.
Alicent Hightower’s green dress and Princess Fiona’s green dress. The triumphal entry of Rhaenys Targaryen at Aegon II’s coronation, with the also triumphant entry of the Donkey “mounted” on the Dragon, the awkward and clumsy family dinners of the Targaryens and Shrek with Fiona’s parents, among other scenes curiously similar.
That’s why it’s a good series, it was inspired by a modern classic lol pic.twitter.com/SUsaVxM8bf

Another highlighted that “Shrek did it first”, showing several images that reference moments from “House of the Dragon”, such as Aegon walking through a corridor of members of the royal guard, the scene between Larys Strong and Alicent Hightower in episode 9 and the entry of the Rhaeny into the coronation.

The first 9 episodes of “House of the Dragon” are available on HBO Max. Episode 10, which will put an end to the first season of the series, will premiere this Sunday (23), at 10pm, on HBO and HBO Max. All films in the “Shrek” series are available on Netflix.
The post “The House of the Dragon” against … “Shrek”? The video makes it fun to compare the two that first appeared on Digital Look.
