I Know What You Did Last Summer a new chapter in the slasher franchise that began in the 90s, is coming to streaming soon. But when and where to watch the new feature that brings back the characters Julie James and Ray Bronsonplayed by Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr.?

What is the story about?

The new story follows five friends who, after causing a fatal car accident, decide to hide what happened and make a pact of silence. A year later, the characters begin to be pursued by someone who knows exactly what they did and who is determined to get revenge. The official synopsis reveals that, as the group is hunted, they discover that these events have happened before and seek help from two survivors of the 1997 Southport massacre —Julie and Ray.

Who is in the cast?

The new cast is made up of Madelyn Cline (Knives Out 2), Chase Sui Wonders (Scream VI),Jonah Hauer-King (The Little Mermaid), Lola Tung (The Summer That Changed My Life), Tyriq Withers (The Game), Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Monsters: Menendez Brothers: Parent Killers), Austin Nichols (The Day After Tomorrow) and Gabbriette (Love, Rosie).

The direction is in charge of Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (Justiceiras), who co-wrote the script alongside Sam Lansky. The original story is based on characters created by Lois Duncan.

When does it debut I Know What You Did Last Summer on streaming?

After being released in theaters, where it grossed US$63 million worldwide (considered a relative success as it cost US$18 million), the new I Know What You Did Last Summer arrives in the HBO Max catalog next Friday, October 17th.
