‘Melrose Place’: ‘Dynasty’ has Daphne Zuniga among its ranks

The series ‘Dynasty’ (CW) will be the return door of an actress whom we met on ‘Melrose Place’: she is daphne zuniga, who we will see as a guest appearance in the next episode on Friday, April 29. According to Variety, Zuniga will play Sonya Jackson, a woman from Blake’s past (also a Melrose alum, whom she plays Grant Show) which will complicate things for the Carrington clan.

Daphne Zuniga came from meeting last fall with her old neighbors from ‘Melrose Place’ (here the chronicle of the meeting), Josie Bissett Y Laura Leightonin an episode of Fox’s reboot of ‘The fantasy island’. The three appeared in September, in an episode called “The Big Five Oh,” which followed a group of old friends who came to the island to celebrate their respective fiftieth years. Of course, time passed for the three of them as well and the reunion ended up not being as idyllic as they expected.

As published on their social networks, the three actors of ‘Melrose Place’ (all in their late fifties), yes, they had a great time filming together again. The next home for the stars of ‘Melrose Place’ (at least for Daphne Zuniga) will be ‘Dynasty’, a CW series created by Josh Schwartz, Stephanie Savage Y sallie patrick What reboot from the soap opera of the same name from the 1980s. It will be a good opportunity to see it outside of Antena 3’s “afternoon movies” circuit: it has been relegated there since the early 2010s. A discreet time for one of the greatest promises of the 80s and 90s.

It is known that when Zuniga finished her role in ‘Melrose Place’, in 1996 (three years before the end), she was jumping from series to series with small characters (we saw her in ‘Spin City’ either ‘Beyond the limit’and as Shelly Pierce in ‘American Dreams’, during a short season, 2004-2005). He did have a leading role in ‘Beautiful People’, a series about two bright teenagers who move with their mother from New Mexico to New York. But the job only lasted one season, because they canceled the series…

Between 2008 and 2012, we find her as a recurring character in a soap opera with the title ‘One Tree Hill’, but today those of us who take a nap had it off the radar. What better way to welcome you back, right?
