‘Black Adam’ has finally arrived in theaters and with it, another of the most famous faces in comics (and movies).
‘Black Adam’ has finally arrived in theaters and, with its premiere, has brought new news for fans of the DC Universe, that connects this powerful anti-hero with another of the most famous faces in comics (and movies).
The film marks the origin story of ‘Black Adam’ (Dwayne Johnson) and the Justice League, whose characters are expected to appear in future DC movies, as they band together to protect Kahndaq.
But that is not all. There is one more hero that we can expect in future releases, which has appeared in the only post-credits scene that ‘Black Adam’ offers. It’s not about a new addition, it’s about a BIG comeback.
Before getting into the matter, we must warn that there will be spoilers next, so if you haven’t been to the movies yet and you don’t know anything about what happens in ‘Black Adam’, you’re in time to leave. If you are curious or have been one of the quickest to go to the rooms, keep reading!
What happens at the end of ‘Black Adam’?
The credits scene takes place after Black Adam has taken over as Kahndaq’s protector, having prevented Sabbac from cutting him in two, which would have stopped the mighty villain once and for all.
Amanda Waller, played by Viola Davis, warns him that he will never be able to leave Kahndaq. Should he do so, he will be stopped once and for all. The anti-hero taunts her and claims that no one can do that. Waller’s response is forceful and she assures that they will contact “people from other planetsto do so. Adam seems to accept the challenge.
It won’t take long to discover, through a column of smoke, Superman (Henry Cavill) appearing, accompanied by the classic soundtrack by John Williams.
“It’s been a while since someone made the world this nervous,” He tells. “Black Adam, we need to talk.”
This small preview of future battles is crowned in just a few seconds. This is Cavill’s first appearance as Superman since 2017’s Justice League. (We were able to see him in Zack Snyder’s Justice League, but it wasn’t new content.)
If you’re on top of all the news and social media is your thing, this news might not come as a surprise to you, as Johnson has been dropping it continuously, for those willing to read between the lines.
“The fans always come first for us… We have established Black Adam as the most powerful and unstoppable force on our planet. But the fans are very passionate and ask: ‘Which is the Universe, then? Where is he?’“, commented the actor in Entertainment Tonight.

“Well, we’ve struggled up to this point, but I will say: Welcome home.”
It was not a difficult cameo to guess since Johnson and Cavill are also friends in real life.
“My old business partner, Dany Garcia, has always been a supporter of Henry. She has represented Henry in his career over the years. ,” Johnson explained. “It all comes down to we love Superman.“
Before the premiere of ‘Black Adam’, it had already been confirmed that ‘Man of Steel 2’ was in development and that Warner Bros. was looking for writers for the project. Cavill’s return makes a lot of sense, considering this.
It makes clear a greater interconnectedness within the DC universe, from now on. It has not been confirmed if Superman’s next appearance will be in a crossover with Black Adam, but in the comics they’ve had more than one showdown, so there’s a good chance that’s the case.
In one of the stories we get to see Superman and Shazam against a Black Adam from another Universe. With such sources of inspiration, it’s likely that the movies will move forward from what the comics have left behind.
Shazam already has a sequel in development: ‘Shazam! The Fury of the Gods’. Perhaps, after a solo Superman movie, we’ll find a second ‘Black Adam’ movie that brings the three of them together in one crossover DC epic.
‘Black Adam’ is already in theaters, in Spain, since last October 21.
