“Argentina, 1985” is inspired by the true story of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo, a duo who dared to investigate and prosecute Argentina’s bloody military dictatorship in 1985. Strassera and Ocampo have assembled a young legal team full of unlikely heroes to face the influence of the military of the time, for a battle in the style of David versus Goliath.
The film was shot in real historical locations, under the direction of Santiago Miter, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Mariano Llinás.
Ricardo Darín and Peter Lanzani star in the film, respectively in the roles of prosecutors Julio Strassera and Luis Moreno Ocampo. In addition to the duo, the film has cast names such as Alejandra Flechner, Carlos Portaluppi, Norman Briski, Héctor Díaz, Alejo García Pintos, Claudio Da Passano, Gina Mastronicola, Walter Jakob and Laura Paredes.
“Argentina, 1985” joined Prime Video on 21 October and is available in the streaming catalog.
