Rian Johnson directs Natasha Lyonne, protagonist of ‘Russian Doll’, in a new unsolved murder
After Benoit Blanc solves another murder in ‘Backstabbing: The Mystery of the Glass Onion’, Ryan Johnson will get to work with another criminal intrigue in the form of a 10-part series for Peacock, the digital platform that is about to land in Spain.
‘PokerFace‘ will star the ‘Russian Doll’ star natasha lyonne (Charlie), that”has an extraordinary ability to determine when someone is lying”, according to the official description.
In the ‘Poker Face’ teaser trailer we can see how Lyonne’s character meets several of the familiar faces that make up the cast. Which are a few. Adrien Brody, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Chloe Sevigny, Ron Perlman, Lil Rel Howery, Nick Nolte, Tim Blake Nelson, Stephanie Hsu, and Togba Norris they lead a cast full of big names, as is becoming common in Johnson’s works.
The brief synopsis revealed gives us clues about the details of the plot, which seems to be different in each episode. “Every time Charlie hits the road in his Plymouth Barracuda, he encounters a new cast of characters and strange crimes that he can’t help but solve.”. A gift or a curse?
‘Poker Face’ will premiere on the digital platform on January 26, 2023but to make the wait a little more bearable we can enjoy ‘Daggers in the back: The mystery of Glass Onion’ from November 23 in theaters and December 23 on Netflix.
