¡spoiler from ‘The Walking Dead’ 11×20 below!

Four years have passed since Andrew Lincoln left ‘The Walking Dead’ and even more time has passed within the fiction, thanks to some small temporary jumps. Yet even that hasn’t made us forget about Rick Grimes.

After the news of a series spin-off on Rick and Michonne (which replaces the films that had begun development), fans have been more eager than ever for Lincoln’s return — as have our leads, who never seem to let him out of their memories.

The trailers anticipated that Rick’s gun would play an important role in these final episodes. and the flashbacks that appeared in the last chapters, showed us Grimes, in flesh and blood, accompanied by the narration of his daughter, Judith.

So yes, we all have Rick present and for that reason, the discovery of the last episode has made us think that the sheriff You’ll be back in town sooner than we think.

Ever since Rick was kidnapped in season 9, the RCM has been important in the ‘TWD’ universe. Mainly in the spin-off ‘World Beyond’, which finally resolved the great doubt about Rick’s kidnapping.

So when Lance Hornsby mentioned “certain alliances“Earlier in this final season, it seemed extremely possible that he was referring to a secret pact between the Commonwealth and the RCM (the other big ‘TWD’ group). Who else could have the power and means to help the Commonwealth?

And now, with the arrival of “what has been lost“, in season 11 of ‘TWD’, this “alliance” seems more likely than ever.

During a series of kidnappings orchestrated by Pamela Milton, Carol and Daryl discover a secret supply train that the Commonwealth has built and is fully functional.. In the comics on which the series is based, the train turns things upside down, uniting various communities across America in ways not seen since the zombie invasion.

But here, on screen, the train has a much more sinister function. According to what Lance comments, all captured prisoners are transported by train to an as yet unknown destination. If it is a prison or if it is something unknown, it is not yet known. What is possible is that it is a destination that is not directly controlled by the Commonwealth.

Why go through all this process of transporting people? Pamela could imprison them directly, within the walls of the Commonwealth, as she has done before… No. Prisoners are transported for a more specific reason and it would make sense that it had something to do with RCM.

Recall the list Connie discovered that contained all the names of Commonwealth residents who had mysteriously disappeared. Whatever is going on, it is clearly a long-standing pact and not a simple sending by Ezekiel and company.

Also It is important to remember that the RCM is looking for more people to carry out its studies on the zombie virus.. When Jadis brought Rick, who was considered extremely valuable, he put her in good standing with the RCM leaders. Perhaps the Commonwealth is getting a lot of profit from trafficking in its residents.

That’s probably why they are using a secret train for their purposes. The Commonwealth wants people to believe that it is acting in their best interest. It would be more difficult to hide this if they used their usual vehicles.

This leads us to believe that the train may be underground because otherwise the survivors would have noticed — and probably sabotaged — a working train going around them.

As this episode ended, it won’t be long until we find out where this train’s route ends and how it connects to the RCM — unless we are completely confused and RCM is not involved at all. It would be weird, anyway. And not just for Rick.

Considering the great shadow that this organization has left on the universe ‘The Walking Dead’, it would be strange if the series ended without having brought them back in some way. And the same could be said about Rick himself, who remains the face of the series for many, even now.

So, even if the RCM doesn’t show up and it turns out that this train really is headed for a paradise beach, located thousands of miles from the zombie hordes, we’ll still be betting on Rick’s return, in any other way.

When asked about the possibilities of returning in 2021, Lincoln spoke with sfx and admitted that “never say Never“, because he considers that “all those who continue to do the series“They are close friends.

Unfortunately, we’re not expecting a full reunion with Rick and our other favorites (daryl, for instance). Regardless, we’d be shocked if ‘The Walking Dead’ ended without hearing from him, considering Rick was responsible for defining the series for so many years.

Rick’s fate in the comics is insurmountable, but some kind of cameo could be expected in the last of them all. Perhaps, in the last scene, viewers could get a small glimpse of Rick’s location, which would serve as the beginning of his miniseries with Michonne.

If ‘World Beyond’ can end in such a random fashion, with new zombies in France preempting Daryl’s solo adventure, the main series can do the same and preempt something about Rick, wherever he is. Anything less would be an unforgivable omission, and we can be safe in saying that if the audience hasn’t forgotten Rick, the writers much less.
