After the intense finale of the fifth season, fans need answers, and they will get them very soon.
‘Elite’ will continue to expand its universe with new mysteries, murders and characters in the sixth season. The Netflix series will have a continuation after the events experienced in the fifth season, released on April 8, 2022 on Netflix, and that will have left fans wanting more. Or rather, wanting answers. We collect here everything we know about this new season 6: release date, synopsis, cast, trailer… We will update it as soon as we get all the information!
Created by Carlos Montero and Darío Madrona, and led in recent seasons by Montero and Jaime Vaca as showrunnersthe Netflix series continues the intense lives of a group of students from the Las Encinas private school, where it seems that in each academic year they are destined to have a new mystery to solve. Love affairs, great enmities, unspeakable crimes, lots of sex… These are the ingredients that have made the Netflix series a worldwide success, and what keeps it season after season despite having left its main protagonists behind. Some leave and others arrive: in the fifth season they have joined, for example, the Argentine actress Valentina Zenere (which we have seen in another series on the platform, ‘The Cable Girls’), the Brazilian Andre Lamoglia (‘Juacas’) and the French adam nourou (winner of the Goya for Best New Actor for ‘Adú’).
With season 7 of ‘Elite’ already confirmed (and with star signings like Maribel Verdú), We review everything that awaits us in the sixth season.

‘Elite’ season 6 premiere date
Netflix has finally confirmed the ‘Elite’ season 6 premiere date: November 18, 2022. It’s only been a few months since the fifth season premiered (on Friday, April 8, 2022), so this is the shortest wait we’ve had for the series in its entire history.
‘Elite’, cast of season 6
Among the details that we already know about the sixth season of ‘Elite’ is its cast. Netflix has already announced the exciting new signings that will come to Las Encinas to revolutionize history and fill the void left by veterans who leave the series. Carmen Arrufat, the young protagonist of ‘La inocencia’, for which she was nominated for a Goya for Best New Actress, joins the cast of the new season of ‘Elite’. Arrufat also participated in the first season of the RTVE series ‘HIT’ alongside Daniel Grao. Alongside her will be other new faces for the story: Alvaro de Juana (seen in ‘Love is forever’)Ana Bokesa (from the cast of ‘Medical Center’) and Alex Pastrana (which we will see in ‘Welcome to Eden’ this spring on Netflix). He also joins the young cast Ander Puig, the first trans actor in the series.
We do not expect to see again those who were once the main protagonists of the story (Ester Expósito, Danna Paola and Mina El Hammani said goodbye after the third season, Miguel Bernardeau and Arón Piper did the same in the fourth…), but the one who is really in doubt is Itzan Escamilla, who we do not know if he will survive what we have seen in the end of the fifth season. And Omar Ayuso, who can become the only survivor of the original cast? We hope to continue seeing it, but it will have to be confirmed. The ones we will surely see again will be Georgina Amorós, Claudia Salas, Manu Rios, Diego Martin, Carla Diaz, Martina Cardidi Y Pol Granch.
‘Elite’, synopsis of season 6: how will the story continue?
WARNING: Spoilers for the fifth season of ‘Elite’ from here
Before knowing what will happen in the sixth season of ‘Elite’, it is necessary to review what has happened in the surprising end of the fifth. Everything starts to go wrong when, in the middle of the season, Armando’s body (Andrés Velencoso) appears floating in the lake. We already know that Velencoso will not return for next season. Omar finds the body and informs Rebe and Samu, who report it to the police. The director of Las Encinas, Benjamín (Diego Martín), becomes the main suspect because Armando abused his daughter, Mencía, and almost killed his other daughter, Ari. It is normal that he wanted revenge.
In addition, we know that Armando wanted to drag Benjamín into a plan to traffic in the personal data of his wealthy students. When a SIM card is discovered that contains the data of his classmates, something that could incriminate the director, Samuel offers to confess his guilt in exchange for legal help. But Benjamín does not fulfill his part of the deal, and luckily his companions help him pay the bail. Is Benjamin the bad guy in this whole story? Did he want to lay the dead on Samu? Did he really have something to do with what Armando was planning?
The mistake Samuel makes in the end is going to Benjamin’s house with the SIM card in his possession. There he rejects what she offers him (a fixed future with a monthly salary and a position at a business school in Oxford) in exchange for evidence of his guilt, which he carries in his backpack. Samu tells him very sure that he would never take the card by force because that would be getting his hands dirty, something the director is not used to doing, but the young man was wrong: both struggle and finally Samuel hits his head on the ground and falls into the pool… Dead? It seems. But don’t be so sure: in the last moments of the season he is found by his friends and still wakes up in time to blame Benjamin for everything. We don’t know if we will see him again.
What will happen in the sixth season of ‘Elite’? First of all, they will have to clarify if Samuel is still alive or not. Second, we will possibly witness the legal consequences to which Benjamin will have to submit, who does not seem to be able to sweep all of his crimes under the rug any longer. At the end of the season we see him being arrested, so we will see what his future is in the series. Among other topics: What will happen to the relationship between Mencía and Rebe? How will the stories of Patrick, Iván and Ari continue? Will Cayetana work with Felipe? Will Isadora get the justice she’s been looking for? To get the answer to all these questions we will have to wait.
