Jennifer Gray reminisced about the behind-the-scenes of Dirty Dancing: Hot Rhythm and the conflicted relationship with co-star Patrick Swayze
Jennifer Gray vented about the conflicted relationship with Patrick Swayze during the backstage of Dirty Dancing: Hot Rhythm (1987). The actress explained that the two didn’t get along, which created a “tension” on the set, and compared the dynamics with those of the characters. Baby and Johnny.
“Just as the Baby it’s the Johnny they couldn’t be together, they weren’t natural… They weren’t a natural match, right?,” he said in an interview with people (via Subway). “We weren’t a natural match either. And the fact that we needed to be a natural match created a tension. Because when it’s not natural, you… Both people give up, but they forced us to be together.”
Second Grey, “this imposition created a kind of synergy, something like a friction.” Furthermore, the actress spoke of how she had no interest in the actor: “It was the weirdest thing for me, like, ‘What’s wrong with me?.’ Like, I had no interest. swayze died in 2009, aged 57, after a two-year treatment for pancreatic cancer. the career of swayze started in 1979, when he played a figure skater in Shaketown USA..
