Danila Kozlovsky will direct the film adaptation of Evgeny Vodolazkin’s “The Aviator”

Russian actor and director Danila Kozlovsky will film an adaptation of Yevgeny Vodolazkin’s novel The Aviator. The author of the book spoke about this on Thursday at a press conference in TASS. Also, the project already has a screenwriter, the writer decided not to name him, but clarified that work on the text is “very intensive”.

Most recently, a person who will implement the plan has joined the work on the script. The film will be directed by Danila Kozlovsky, he said.

The writer noted that Kozlovsky can play a major role in the film, but this issue has not yet been resolved.

Produced by Sergey Katyshev. The script is written by Yuri Arabov and his student Oleg Sirotkin, as well as Vodolazkin himself. He shared that the first versions differ from the final one, because it was decided to make the story closer to the present day. The film will hit the screens by the end of 2023.

Recall that on September 29, the premiere of the series “Nadvoe” took place, in which Danila Kozlovsky starred with Alexander Petrov. In the summer, another project with the participation of Danila, the series “Lucy”, was released, and in early September, the shooting of the film “Fire Zhora” with the participation of the actor began.
