The actress dares with a new challenge: configure the wardrobe of a new character.
We had seen her trying to prevent the robbery of the Bank of Spain (‘The paper house’), surviving in a women’s prison (‘Vis a vis’) and even ‘infiltrated’ in a well-off neighborhood of Madrid posing as a ‘ normal lady’ (‘Holy Family’). But now, we have discovered a new talent of Najwa Nimri: fashion design creating the wardrobe of her new character. From the hand of Kiawe have been able to accompany the actress on this trip accompanied by none other than her best friend, Palomo Spain.
And it is thanks to #inspire2that window through which you can discover how some of the most talented artists on our scene work, we have witnessed the encounters between Najwa Nimri and Palomo Spain in which the designer has shared his creative process with the actress and has been her best teacher. “Move, discover, learn” is the leitmotif that inspires renowned professionals who succeed in their fields and embark on enriching stories of improvement. After speaking with the actress about the character, according to the creator, it’s time to “start with the physical, with the pattern, with the fabric, see how the sleeve, the neck suits you… try out silhouettes, volumes”. And it is that sharing experiences and wisdom is the best journey.
Just as Iván Ferreiro did with Maribel Verdú by helping him compose a song, Najwa Nimri has managed to get out of her comfort zone and enter new challenges, an experience with which she is happy. “Palomo has inspired me with the same creation process (…). In general, I attack the characters from the inside out but if you have a method you can do it from the outside in. Pigeon has inspired me because I’ve seen that you can build from the outside and get to the heart of a character, something has changed in me… All this through the making of a suit, nothing more and nothing less, it seems little but it is a lot”, he affirms.
