HBO Max Misses “The Last of Us” Release Date; watch

The release date for the TV series “The Last of Us” has apparently been leaked on HBO Max. According to several subscribers to the streaming service, a listing page for “The Last of Us Season 1 Sneak Peek” reveals a date of the premiere of the January 15 for the HBO series.

Previously, HBO had only confirmed that the new series would arrive in 2023 without giving a precise date.

The news has also been verified by VGC, with their sources indicating that an official revelation will arrive by the end of this week.

About “The Last of Us”

The PlayStation adaptation of the Naughty Dog classic series sees Pedro Pascal take on the role of Joel as he accompanies Ellie (Bella Ramsey) on a smuggling mission to post-apocalyptic America.

The official synopsis reads: “The story takes place 20 years after the destruction of modern civilization. Joel, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle 14-year-old Ellie out of a crushing quarantine zone. Soon, the little job becomes a brutal and painful journey as they both have to cross the United States and depend on each other to survive. “

The first trailer for “The Last of Us” was released in September. The 90-second teaser showed a dark and bright remix of some of the game’s most iconic moments.

A subsequent HBO Max supercut also revealed more of the upcoming release, which also features Gabriel Luna, Anna Torv, and even video game actors Joel and Ellie, Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson.
