The seriéfilo contest has established itself as a great bet in the promotion and dissemination of series for platforms and audiovisual operators, with full houses in all its premieres. In this sense, Betu Martínez, co-director of the festival points out: “It has been the year of series and national talent with premieres such as ‘La Ruta’, ‘Fácil’, ‘Pobre Diablo’ or ‘Smiley’ and the consolidation of the Serielizados Fest, outside the pandemic context, as the international festival of TV series. reference in Barcelona, Madrid and online in Filmin“.

Personalities from the national audiovisual scene have paraded through this edition of the Serielizados Fest, such as Borja Cobeaga, Joaquín Reyes, Ernesto Sevilla, Anna R Costa, Miki Esparbé, Carlos Cuevas, Vicky Luengo, Juan Diego Botto Y Alex Monneramong many other artists and creators.

In the awards section, the Serielizados Fest has distinguished two series from the official section: ‘Suspicion’from the Czech Republic, which has been awarded the Jury Prize, and Ida takes charge‘, a Norwegian series, which has received the Young Jury Award.

Based on real events, ‘Suspicion’ has one of the most chilling performances in recent years. This drama tells the life of Hana Kučerová, a cold and distant nurse, without social skills, who tends to treat all her patients badly. When one of them dies under suspicious circumstances, it is clear to the media, the police and her colleagues that she is to blame. A brilliant miniseries that does not try to blame, but to identify the difference between the truth and mere appearance.

In the series ‘Ida takes charge’, the Ida of the title moves to Oslo to study psychology. Her greatest fear is suffering a terrorist attack at her own university, like the ones on the news. Everything turns on when she meets Aksel, a lone wolf labeled incel (celibate).
