The Still-And-Name streaming service that will bring together the HBO Max and Discovery+ catalogs will be released a few months earlier than previously announced.
As before, there is no fixed launch date for the new streaming, nor new information on the name of the service or on how the transition to HBO Max and Discovery+customers will work.
But now it has been confirmed that this will happen earlier than expected. The president and CEO of Warner Bros. Previously, the forecast of the launch was for the summer of 2023, between June and September.
In addition, Hbo Max has announced that he added about 3 million global subscribers in his last quarter. “We expect a healthy inflection with the launch of our combined service and the expansion of the global presence,” said Zaslav in teleconference on the results of the third quarter (through Deadline).
“With this, we are pleased to announce that we have advanced our release date in the American summer since 2023 for spring. We worked hard. We can make consumer service available around the world and make the business work in each cylinder, “added Zaslav about the merger between HBO Max and Discovery+.
The new service that will bring together both existing will arrive in Latin America after the launch in the United States, and will be followed by Europe, where the service will arrive in 2024.
