The MCU’s most anticipated film in recent years, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever”, finally hit Brazilian theaters this Thursday (10). But will the Marvel movie arrive on Disney + in streaming?
The answer is definitely a yes. Marvel movies eventually arrive on Disney + after being released in theaters, but it’s unclear when that will happen. The film is set to remain exclusively in theaters for some time to come, and based on recent MCU releases, we can expect “Black Panther 2” by early 2023.
That’s because, for example, “Thor: Love and Thunder” hit theaters in early July this year, debuting on Disney + exactly two months later, on September 8th. “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness,” another Marvel hit in theaters, premiered in early May, arriving on Disney + on June 22, just under two months later.
The two films had a window of 48 to 60 days between their theatrical release and their streaming debut. So, we can expect something similar for the new “Black Panther”. Following this window, and considering the release date as the preview date in the United States, scheduled for tomorrow (11), “Black Panther 2” will premiere on Disney + between December 29 and January 11.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” follows the leaders of the fictional African country Wakanda after the death of King T’Challa, who was the Black Panther in the first film in the series. T’Challa’s death follows that of his interpreter, Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020.
Everything starts to go wrong when a new villain emerges, hailing from the underwater nation of Talokan, corresponding to Marvel’s Atlantis. So T’Challa’s friends and family must face pain, the new enemy, and face the Black Panther succession to protect their home.
The movie “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is in theaters.
