In the Marvel world, the ancient gods could not enter the mortal world and had to choose avatars to evolve on earth. In search of the statue, which held several episodes of the goddess Amit, so that it would not fall into the hands of Arthur Harrow (Ethan Hawke), Stephen eventually finds it in the tomb of the former king of Macedonia, suggesting that the latter was his avatar. If Alexander the Great used his power to carry out the idea of justice, then he might look more like a superhero than a superhero. Especially since historically, this conquering king is known for his violent nature and excess.
But he may indeed have shown heroism in the MCU, as a statue of Amit was found in his sarcophagus, which may have meant that he was an avatar who betrayed him (mentioned in episode 1) and allowed other gods to be arrested.
