Carlos D. King MACRO was created by Reginald F. Lewis biopic based on his autobiography Why should white men have fun?
The project’s tagline reads: “The drama tells America’s unbelievable and righteous story of how Reginald F. Lewis became the richest African American in the United States. A bestseller based on an autobiography, Why should white men have fun?Follow Lewis shattering a glass ceiling from Baltimore to Harvard, Wall Street, Kansas and Paris, from boardrooms to family homes, to his tragic and sudden death from a brain tumor at the height of his strength.
King will join producer Gelani Johnson, Poppy Hanks and Franklin Leonard of The Black List. Lewis’ daughters Christina and Leslie Lewis and widow Lloyd Lewis will executive produce with Josh Green.
