    Netflix has begun filming its new original Spanish series, ‘Mano de Hierro’. A 6-episode thriller, located in Barcelona, ​​that brings together some of the most recognized faces of the Spanish audiovisual scene, under a plot of corruption, drug trafficking and murders, bathed by the waves of the Mediterranean.

    The production, developed by MediaPro Studio, will star Chinese Darin (‘The Kingdom’, ‘Stories Untold’), Jaime Lorente (‘The paper house’, ‘Elite’), Natalia Molina (‘Who will sing to you’, ‘One year, one night’), sergi lopez (‘The Vampire of Barcelona’, ‘Mediterranean’), Enric Auquer (‘Perfect Life’, ‘Red Sky’) and Eduard Fernandez (‘Criminal: Spain’, ’30 coins’).

    ‘Iron Hand’ follows the story of Joaquín Manchado, owner of the main terminal of the port of Barcelona. This commercial access receives an average of 6,000 containers per day. Shipments from all over the world that, in a period of one year, are capable of concealing more than 30,000kg of cocaine. The city of Barcelona thus becomes one of the most important entrances for drug trafficking in Europe.

    Joaquín, aware of this, is the one who gives permission to this contraband, in exchange for good financial compensation. He and the entire criminal network that he has formed have a successful business. However, after an unexpected accident and the disappearance of an important shipment of cocaine, a ruthless war will be unleashed full of murders and revenge.

    The series will be filmed over the next few weeks in different locations in Barcelona, ​​Girona and Lleida.
