Seoul said two Chinese H-6 aircraft repeatedly entered South Korea’s air defense zone along its south and northeast coasts at 5:50 am local time. They reentered the same area hours later and were accompanied by six Russian fighter planes, including TU-95s and SU-35s.

Tokyo’s Defense Ministry said two Chinese and two Russian fighter jets entered the Sea of Japan area of action.

For this reason, countries have activated their jets to patrol the entire coast.

For its part, Moscow revealed that “foreign fighter jets followed us along a certain route” during strategic military exercises in the Sea of Japan and the East China Sea. According to the Defense Ministry, the planes “did not commit any violation of the airspace of third countries”.

The situation in the Korean peninsula region is rather tense due to frequent missile launches by North Korea, which has Russia and China as its main allies. On the other hand, the United States has promised to strengthen its military partnerships with the Japanese and South Koreans. 🇧🇷
