The ‘Big Bang Theory’ star stars in this romantic comedy alongside Pete Davidson.
Kaley Cuoco, who was one of the protagonists of The Big Bang Theoryhas finally premiered in Amazon Prime Video his new movie: An almost perfect date starring along with Pete Davidson, who we could see in The Suicide Squad.
The film tells the story of Sheila (Cuoco) and Gary (Davidson) on their first love-at-first-sight date. But it soon becomes clear that it is not so at first glance. Sheila uses a time machine to go back and fall in love with Gary over and over again to make him her ideal partner.
The film, directed by Alex Lehman, originally premiered on the Peacock streaming content platform in the United States in September, but has just arrived on the Amazon Prime catalog in Spain. However, it hasn’t exactly been critically acclaimed, currently holding an average score of 57% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Guardian has praised Cuoco and Davidson for trying to introduce some chemistry into the film, but has lamented the well-worn resort to the style Caught in time.
“This umpteenth twist to the time loop of Caught in time is more irritating than endearing”, they say in Guardian. “It’s more cheesy than funny, and the whole thing feels like a downward spiral of awkwardly played neuroticism leading to an ending that borders on the indefensible.”
Davidson recently made his long-awaited debut in The Kardashians after dating Kim Kardashian. The two have since parted ways, but Davidson’s appearance on the series has been long overdue.
