The Batcave is known for holding rare and bizarre artifacts in the collection of Batman, who just won his weirdest ‘trophy’ yet.
Every Batman fan knows that the Batcave, as well as being Batman’s hideout and investigative center, is also a place where he keeps various artifacts and trophies – including the famous giant penny, a replica of a Tyrannosaurus Rex and his various uniforms, including those of the robins, among other goodies. And a new comic just added the most bizarre object ever seen there.

Beware of spoilers for Flashpoint Beyond #6!
Before we talk about that, we need to remember the current state of the DC Multiverses. Exactly, in the plural, since, after the megassaga Dark Nights: Death Metal, all creations ever seen in DC Comics coexist in multiple Multiverses, and some of the characters from parallel Earths also interact frequently in the main timeline. And several successful narratives in the past also return.
This is the case with the universe of Ignition pointgenerated when Flash Barry Allen went back in time and ended up changing the entire timeline of Earth, in the so-called Flashpoint Universe, in which Batman is Thomas Wayne, Bruce’s father, who, in fact, died and ended up spawn Batman of that reality.
What is the most bizarre “trophy” ever seen in the Batcave?
Well, in the current storylines of the Flashpoint Beyond title, Thomas Wayne tried to undo the reality of the Flashpoint Universe, in a storyline that until now involved the death of Harvey Dent, who ended up turning his wife into Two Faces of that reality . Lo and behold, the person responsible for the murder is revealed to be none other than Martha Wayne – yes, the mother of Bruce and wife of Thomas, who became this Earth’s Joker.
In Flash point beyond number 6, written by Geoff Johns, Tim Sheridan and Jeremy Adams with art by Xermanico, Mikel Janin and Gary Frank, Batman and Martha, aka the Joker, make a deal to stop Two-Face. Eventually, both manage to stop the villain, and Thomas takes on Dent’s son as the new Robin.
And this is where the Batcave’s new “bizarre trophy” comes in: instead of turning his wife over, the Joker, to the authorities, he decides to keep her trapped, alive, in her hideout. While the plot does not feature Martha as a trophy, it cannot be denied that her being trapped in her place is, in addition to keeping her alive, a reminder of her triumph.
And, while this is scary and somewhat wrong, especially for a hero, it seems that the Joker himself accepts this condition, even supporting Batman Thoman Wayne and Robin, son of Dent, when they both go on missions. It’s a pretty creepy and twisted take on the main timeline, but we’re talking about a really, really dark Earth.
Flash point beyond number 6 is released on October 18 and should soon reach the Brazilian comics.
