Nottingham Forest officially announced, this morning, the signing of Gustavo Scarpa until June 2026. The player has a contract with Palmeiras until the end of this month, but he already landed in England last Friday and will begin to adjust with the club rose.
“It’s a dream for me, I’m so happy to be here. I’m excited about this new challenge and can’t wait to start. I’ve always had the ambition to play in the Premier League, ever since I was a child,” he said in his first interview.
Have a nice Sunday. 🤙The English league is currently paralyzed due to the World Cup in Qatar. The teams should return to the field at the end of December and Gustavo Scarpa will only be able to play for Nottingham Forest from 1 January, when the period for signing up reinforcements will reopen.
Scarpa had signed a pre-contract with the team in August. The midfielder ended his cycle at Palmeiras after four seasons, with 233 games played in all, 44 goals and 56 assists.
In the titles won by the alviverde team, the athlete accumulates two Libertadores (2020 and 2021), two Brasileiros (2018 and 2022), two Paulistas (2020 and 2022), one Copa do Brasil (2020) and one Recopa (2022).
Despite the break in competitive competition, Nottingham will play a series of friendlies which kicked off on Friday. Next Tuesday, the team will face Atromitos.
