Police said they will analyze images of the interior of the vehicle to try to discover the perpetrator of the attack.
A 23-year-old used social networks to report an attack she suffered during an interstate bus trip from Recife (PE) to Salvador (BA) last weekend.
Stefani Firmo suffered a cut on her face and needed stitches. He published photos of the wound and recounted what happened: “Around 5 in the morning, I woke up with excruciating pain in my face. When I swiped my hand, I noticed that it was covered in blood. Someone had violently injured me in the face.”
The young woman, realizing she was injured, called a friend who was traveling with her, who provided first aid, and alerted the other passengers.
The attack occurred when the bus was in the city of Condé, in Bahia. Stefani was seen at the municipal police station. Other passengers were interviewed and, according to the victim, a knife was found with one passenger, but he was released.
“I’m completely scared and shocked,” she said.
The young woman also claimed that the violence against her was gratuitous. “There were no arguments or anything. On the contrary, I didn’t even talk to anyone other than my friend the whole trip.”
“I don’t know if the person’s intention was to seriously cut me or kill me, but the fact is, we can’t even travel safely anymore. We’re not safe anywhere,” she added. “I will probably have an eternal memory on my face, which will make me remember this terrible moment again and again. I can only hope that the authorities conclude their investigation and that the bus company cooperates.”
OR Land asked the Civil Police of Bahia, who informed that images of the internal security circuit of the interstate bus are already with the authorities and will be analyzed to help identify the perpetrator of the attack.
“Some passengers were interviewed in the specialized department and the expert guides were released. A knife found with a passenger was also sent to the Scientific Police, to find out if it was used in the action. The reports are awaited and if paternity is proven, the woman may be charged with bodily harm,” he added.
OR Land looked for the Guanabara company, responsible for the bus trip, but there was no return.
