HBO series “The Last of Us,” starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey, won a new official trailer during the studio’s panel at CCXP22.
“The Last of Us” panel featured the lead duo, with actors Gabriel Luna and Merle Dandridge, co-creators and executive producers Neil Druckmann and Craig Mazin.
The creator and executive producer duo commented on the challenges of adapting a hit game for TV and talked about how the idea was to make a film instead of a series, but concluded that it was not feasible to adapt a complex story like “The Last of Us” for a two-hour film.
Craig Mazin, one of the creators of the series who was also the creator of the HBO series ‘Chernobyl’ commented on the similarities between the historical series and the adaptation of ‘The Last of Us’, and said that there are indeed many differences between the productions. He stated that although one is fiction and the other something based on reality, both try to show how human beings act in extreme situations.
During the long conversation at the panel, Pedro Pascal, the most acclaimed in the audience, talked about having been afraid to take on such an iconic role in games. Actress Bella Ramsey, on the other hand, showed enthusiasm for taking the role, saying that she knew the implications of taking on the role, including coming to Brazil to promote the series, driving CCXP22 audiences crazy.
“The Last of Us” arrives on HBO and HBO Max on January 15, 2023.
