Former Irish player Roy Keane, famous for his unfair tackling, found Brazil’s dancing “disrespectful”. On Twitter, they wondered if there was something far more perverse than just a bad mood behind this criticism.
There was a lot of dancing in Brazil’s 4-1 victory against South Korea this Monday (5.10). Everyone liked him, except one enemy of happiness, the former Irish player Roy Keane. He found it “disrespectful”.
(We won’t include dance videos here because FIFA, another enemy of happiness, is scrapping everything over copyright.)
🎙️ Roy Keane: “I think it’s disrespectful to dance like that every time they score. I don’t mind the first jig, or whatever it was, for the first goal, but not every time. It’s disrespectful. Even their manager gets involved. not I like”.#BRA 🇧🇷 #KOR 🇧🇷 #FIFA World Cup pic.twitter.com/E8ZhFUVRyf

“Roy Keane: ‘I think it’s disrespectful that they dance like that every time they score. The first goal is fine, but not always. It’s disrespectful. Even the coach gets involved. I don’t like it.”
Of course, Roy immediately began to receive affection from the Brazilian population.
Fuck the English commentators who complain that Brazilians disrespect their opponents because they danced a bit, what a lazy

seeing gringo OUTRAGED with a simple celebratory dance leaves me 100% in a state of pic.twitter.com/euutZcPXr4—pru (@prjscilla) December 5, 2022
And they pulled the plug on the boy. While the Brazilians “disrespect” their opponents with small dances, Roy disrespected his opponents with stomps, mean tackles and criminal floats.
Disrespect is giving a player a knee-deep tackle and shortening his career.

But could it be that behind this criticism there is something much more perverse than just a bad mood?
3 points for guessing what the dancing players have in common and another 3 points for guessing what the complaining players also have in common https://t.co/jZIys3ORLp

the narrators did not want to name him, but the criticism that the Spaniards make of Vini Jr’s dancer saying that he must stop these “monkeys” is pure and simple racism. straight like this— black (@pretademaiss) December 5, 2022
When Pele celebrated goals by hitting the air, Europeans said he was violent.
When Vini jr. celebrate by dancing, he is disrespectful.
What really annoys some Europeans is the image of a black man winning. And in the sport they love the most.

Anyway, thanks for your feedback, Roy.
If a gringo is offended by a little dance there’s no reason not to
