‘Diablero’
Mexican horror series exclusively for Netflix, the story of which was first told in the novel “El diablo me forceced” by Francisco Haghenbeck.
In the streets of Mexico City, there is a fight between angels and demons, the result of which will be the key to the survival of mankind.
Father Ramiro Ventura knows this, so he seeks the help of El diablero, a legendary demon hunter. Together with a girl named Nancy, the improvised team will embark on a mission to defeat and capture as many creatures of the night as possible before it is too late.
“Bad Girl Antics”
ViX, the new completely free streaming service in Spanish, will soon premiere the new original series based on the novel “Antics of the bad girl”, written by Mario Vargas Llosa.
The novel is about Ricardo Somocurcio, a Peruvian teenager who falls in love with a girl named Lily, known as “la chilenita”. When one of the secrets of her life was revealed, Lily disappeared from the place, leaving Ricardo alone again.
Years later, Ricardo goes to live in Paris where he works as a translator and in this place he meets the love of his life, who now listens to the other name and seems to have more secrets than before.
“Rosary Scissors”
Bárbara de Regil stars in this series, based on the book of the same name by Colombian author Jorge Franco. The Mexican actress plays Rosario, a student who, through a series of events, ends up working as a murderer for a mafia boss, along with her brother and her best friend.

“Through my window”
Spanish romantic film that is a metaphor for the Venezuelan novel of the same name by Ariana Godoy. The film, which can be found on Netflix, tells the story of Raquel, a girl who is in love with Ares, her neighbor, whom she constantly harasses.
Tired of her love affair, Raquel decides to make the boy fall in love, even if it means leaving her education behind to become a woman capable of attracting his attention.
“The secret in their eyes”
At Star + you can find “The Secret in Their Eyes”, an Argentine film that takes its story from “The Question in Their Eyes” by Eduardo Sacheri.
His story focuses on Benjamín Espósito, a police officer who has just retired and decides to fulfill his dream of writing a novel.
To do this, he proposes to solve a case that has been open for several decades, of which he is a witness. As he researches, his memories lead him to a woman he has secretly loved for years.
‘Hurricane season‘
Netflix has announced that it will adapt the novel “Hurricane Season” by Mexican author Fernanda Melchor, who already has experience working for the platform as a screenwriter for the Somos series.
Melchor’s story was published in 2017 and has since been a huge success, such as the Anna Seghers International Award and becoming a finalist for the Booker 2020 International Award.
The “Hurricane Season” unfolds its story in the fictional city of La Matosa, where a group of children make a macabre discovery: the lifeless body of a woman on the banks of a river.
This woman is nothing more and nothing less than the frightened and respected “witch” of the place, so the villagers will start searching for the culprits.
