‘Wonder Woman 3’: Patty Jenkins Won’t Direct Sequel

Patty Jenkins, director of the first two “Wonder Woman” films, will not be at the helm of the third feature. The information was disclosed by The Wrap on Thursday (8).

On Wednesday, new DC Studios heads James Gunn and Peter Safran rejected Jenkins and co-writer Geoff Johns’ continuity for the new film.

On Twitter, Gunn said on Thursday (8) that “some things are true, some are half-truths, some are not true, and some have not yet been decided whether or not they are true.”

On Thursday (8), The Wrap claimed that Gunn and Safran were not responsible for the decision not to follow the same team in ‘Wonder Woman 3.’ In fact, Warner Bros. Film CEOs and co-presidents Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy are said to be responsible for the closures. However, Gunn and Safran would have agreed.

In response, Jenkins chose not to attempt to keep his role and opted to exit the project. Warner Bros., for his part, declined to comment on the matter.

Before the information was released, Gal Gadot, the protagonist of the saga, tweeted on Tuesday (6) that she was “thankful for the opportunity to play such an incredible and iconic character and, more than anything, I am grateful for you. The admirers. I can’t wait to share his next chapter [Mulher Maravilha] with you”.
