Widespread confusion involving the police ends with the celebration of Moroccans in Paris

Regrettable scenes were seen this Saturday on the Champs-Élysées avenue in Paris, the capital of France. After Morocco beats Portugal and qualifies for the semifinals of the World Cup in an unprecedented way, Moroccan fans gathered and took to the streets of the city to celebrate. However, the local police decided to break up the party using pepper spray and assault.

In the shared images it is possible to see policemen attacking a Moroccan already lying on the ground with kicks and batons. According to the city of Paris, 36 people have been arrested.
