Christian Horner, boss of Red Bull, said that with chassis and engines developed in the same place, the team’s chances of growth will be significantly greater.
Red Bull has just finished a near-perfect year in Formula 1, winning 17 of 22 races and quite easily clinching the second Drivers’ Championship with Max Verstappen and the fifth Constructors’ title in history. There is, however, a plan in place for what is good to get even better in the coming years.

The energy team continues to work to optimize the results and have confirmed that the plan is that soon, more precisely by 2026, all the components of their cars will be produced in the Milton Keynes base in England.
Despite being run in-house by Red Bull Powertrains, the Taurus engines are made in Japan, having taken over Honda’s duties after the Japanese marque officially left Formula 1 at the end of the 2021 season.
But team boss Christian Horner said Red Bull’s plan is to move engine operations to England by 2026 at the latest.

“We will have engine and chassis designers sitting side by side. Therefore, it will be absolute vertical integration of these sectors,” he said.
“I think for Milton Keynes, for the UK, to have this headquarters here is a testament to the expertise that exists in the industry and the talent that we are able to attract,” he continued.
The move is also seen as a way to prepare for engine regulations, which will come into effect from exactly 2026. With the new working format, Horner believes Red Bull will be better able to deal with engine suppliers such as Renault, Mercedes, Ferrari and, in the future, Audi.
If the project is indeed completed, Red Bull will join Ferrari as the only teams on the current grid to have their engine and chassis produced in the same location.
