Dune 2: the actor announces the end of filming in a photo on Instagram

The filming of “Dune 2” has finished. Franchise star Timothée Chalamet shared a post on his Instagram account and revealed an image of the desert where the movie was filmed.

Previously, a set photo from the shoot had already been revealed by Chalamet on his Instagram. At the time, the actor posted a photo of a costume he’ll be wearing in “Duna 2,” and the aesthetic of the outfit caught the attention of fans, who started making theories and speculation.

In the publication of this Monday (12), Chalamet published a photo with his father in the middle of the dunes that form Arrakis, the desert planet of the saga. In the caption, the actor celebrated the close of taping. “DUNE 2 ENGRAVED. (Me with my father from the desert)”.

The production of “Duna 2” had been underway since June this year, in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. Recently, actress Zendaya, who plays Chani, also shared a photo on the recording site.

In addition to Zendaya and Chalamet, who plays the protagonist Paul Atreides, the cast of “Dune 2” will see the return of Rebecca Ferguson, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem and Stellan Skarsgård and the additions of Christopher Walken, Florence Pugh, Léa Seydoux and Austin Butler.

“Dune 2” will be directed by Denis Villeneuve, as will the first title, and should be released on November 3 next year. In addition to the films, the franchise will also receive television productions and the spin-off “Dune: The Brotherhood” is in development by HBO, still without a premiere date at the moment.
